Ethos and Heritage

At the Hastings Centre, we care about our local area – we love Hastings, St Leonards and 1066 Country and want to play our part in benefiting our community

HeritageWe aim to run the Hastings Centre as a social enterprise, meaning that we invest the profits back into the good of the local community. To date, this has included funding free dance classes for children, giving to Hastings Foodbank and a number of other local charities, and providing work experience and employment opportunities for people who have been long-term unemployed. Even the way we run our car park is slightly different to usual – we encourage you to pass on your ticket to others if you don’t use up your time. If you want to join in with our ethos, why not a buy a Suspended Coffee for someone in need or pop a donation in our Foodbank basket?

If you are a charity, social enterprise or not-for-profit organisation looking to hire the Hastings Centre, we offer special rates for you so please contact us to find out more.

The Hastings Centre is owned by King’s Church.

The Hastings Centre is a premier conference facility in the 1066 area.

It was originally built as in indoor sports centre but has been extensively refurbished over the last 20 years, becoming a high-quality business, leisure and conference venue.

In 2013, we continued the Hastings Centre’s transformation: today, it’s hired for business breakfasts, board meetings, exhibitions, seminars, awards ceremonies, quiz nights, blood donation, training events, sports, live music events and more.
